Sizing
These are finished measurements with the fringe included, not nominal ones. Returns are free here, but a blanket that fits the first time still beats one that has to travel twice.
| Size | Inches | Centimetres | Where it works |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 52 × 37 | 132 × 94 | One person on a sofa, or folded over the end of a bed |
| Medium | 60 × 50 | 152 × 127 | Two people sharing, or a twin bed |
| Large | 80 × 60 | 203 × 152 | Full or queen bed, or a deep sectional |
Measurements include the fringe, which runs along the edge and carries the pattern out to the end. Fringe length varies slightly from piece to piece, so finished sizes can differ by up to an inch. Woven cotton moves during weaving and cutting, and no woven blanket comes out to the millimetre.
For a sofa. Small suits an armchair or one person stretched out. If two of you share a blanket while watching something, go medium — small runs out faster than people expect.
For a bed. Medium covers a twin. Large sits across a full or queen without hanging to the floor. It’s a throw, not a bedspread, so it’s meant to lie across the bed rather than tuck in.
As a gift. Medium is the safe answer when you don’t know the room. It’s useful on a sofa and on a bed, which small isn’t and large sometimes isn’t.
Measure the sofa or bed rather than guessing. Returns are free, but a wrong size still costs you the better part of two weeks waiting for the replacement.
If you’re between sizes, size up. A blanket slightly too big still works. One that’s slightly too small gets used less.
Give us the width of your sofa seat or your mattress and we’ll tell you which size fits.
